Time flies. A month of study in London has passed.

We are so glad that we could stay in Christy’s home in this month. This is a Singaporean family of 3 members: Christy, her husband Bobby and son Danny. And there are two super lovely cats here called Snowy and Chubby.

Christy’s house is located in North London, surrounded with a peaceful community. There is a large grasslands just besides her house, where children play in the summer. The rooms are big, clean and so comfortable to stay.

Christy is very nice and friendly. She is very helpful in supporting students here. During the first few days when we arrived in London, Christy drove us around in London, showing all the places around so we could easily get familiar to London. She also prepares all the maps and schedule of the bus routes so that we could easily know how to get to Victoria Hospital, the place where we study here. She also provides a meal plan and her cooking is very good. She cooks a large variety of food for us, including Singaporean dishes like Laksa and chicken rice, Chinese dishes as well as western food. We are lucky that we could celebrate the Easter with them, when she would cook ribs or turkies and other delicious dishes too. And she is so caring to ask us in advance of any food allergy too.

During the 1 month in London, apart from studying, we usually go to church with Christy. There are fellowship, services and bible study there. In 1 weekend, Christy and Bobby also brought us to see the Niagawa falls where it would be very inconvenient to go directly without a car.

It is so grateful to be able to stay in Christy’s home with a lot of memories here. We could certainly miss Kingbird courts, our home in London.

All in all, thanks Christy and Bobby for your kindness during our stay here. It certainly is an important part for our great ecperience in Canada.
